Redefining Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is more than financial education

Nudgeable uses a comprehensive approach to financial literacy that takes into account the broader context in which individuals make financial decisions.

Redefining Financial Literacy

Our Approach

At nudgeable, we understand the barriers and limits to financial literacy. We design our programs to be practical and relatable by taking into account the diverse needs of individuals, their cultural background, behavioral biases and socioeconomic factors. We incorporate behavioral components into all of our trainings and offer students ongoing individualized support in the form of one on one financial coaching to equip them with the right tools and resources along every step of their financial journey.

More importantly, we set our priorities straight. We are completely independent of the financial services industry so we can provide learners with accurate and unbiased information that is truly in their best interest.

At nudgeable, we take our work very seriously!

Our programs are designed to be

Rooted In The Community
Community-based financial literacy programs can foster a sense of belonging and social support, which can be especially important for individuals who may feel isolated or overwhelmed by financial decisions.
Behavior Based
Financial literacy programs are more effective in promoting long-term financial success when they focus on behavioral changes. They help individuals develop the habits and skills necessary to maintain their financial well-being over time.
Empowering
All the knowledge in the world doesn't help unless we believe we are capable of achieving great things. Financial literacy should empower people to take control of their finances, and take action.
Simple & Practical
Money is already complicated. Simple and practical financial literacy eliminates the stigma around personal finances and leads to higher levels of engagement and participation.
Tailored
Financial needs and goals vary widely depending on the stages of life, income and cultural background. Tailored financial literacy programs target those specific needs and challenges in a relevant and effective way.
Independent & Unbiased
Financial literacy programs that are influenced by the financial services industry, can be biased and often pressure learners to purchase financial products and services that are not in their best interest.
Relevant & Relatable
Relevant and relatable financial education enables individuals to understand financial concepts and strategies and connect with them in a personal and meaningful way which can be applied to their daily lives.
Interactive & Engaging
Literacy programs are more effective when learners actively participate in the learning process. They increase learner motivation, build confidence and reinforce skills that can be applied in real-world situations.
Accessible
Accessible financial literacy promotes economic equity. It is designed for individuals with limited financial experience, limited English proficiency and is both convenient and affordable.
Timely
Most people only seek financial education and guidance when facing a specific challenge or opportunity. Access to the right information when you need it can help to avoid costly mistakes and can have a big impact financial well being.
Redefining Financial Literacy

More About Our Approach...

Such a level of customization and ongoing support can only be achieved by partnering with locally based community organizations who have an intimate understanding of the individuals and communities they serve. Through our partnerships, we can create programs that are tailored to the unique financial challenges faced by different communities.

Grassroot community based organizations are extremally well positioned to deliver financial literacy to large and diverse segments of the population. Immigrants, minorities, women, economically disadvantaged communities and many other segments. However, they often don’t have the resources and the expertise to do it internally. And even so, developing and running a financial literacy program can be costly, time consuming and resource intensive.

This is why we started nudgeable. To make quality financial literacy programs attainable to local community based organizations at a reasonable cost and make equitable financial education accessible to everyone regardless of their race, gender or socioeconomic status.
